| รายวิชา : การอนุรักษ์และการจัดการสัตว์ป่า | | คำอธิบายรายวิชา | รายวิชานี้มุ่งเน้นการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับแนวคิดหลักการ ความสำคัญของความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ(Biodiversity) การคุกคามที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อสัตว์ป่า เช่น การทำลายถิ่น ที่อยู่ การล่าสัตว์ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ตลอดจนวิธีการปกป้องถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัยของสัตว์ป่าในระบบนิเวศต่าง ๆ เช่น ป่า พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำ และระบบนิเวศทางทะเล
เนื้อหาวิชายังครอบคลุมถึงกลยุทธ์การอนุรักษ์ ทั้งในถิ่นที่อยู่เดิม (In-situ Conservation) และนอกถิ่นที่อยู่เดิม (Ex-situ Conservation) รวมถึงบทบาทของชุมชนในพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ การติดตามประชากรสัตว์ป่าด้วยเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่ เช่น กล้องดักถ่าย และระบบติดตาม GPS ผู้เรียนจะได้ศึกษากฎหมายและนโยบายด้านการอนุรักษ์ เช่น พระราชบัญญัติสงวนและคุ้มครองสัตว์ป่า และอนุสัญญาระหว่างประเทศ (CITES)
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการวิเคราะห์ผลกระทบของการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศต่อสัตว์ป่า การฟื้นฟูและช่วยเหลือสัตว์ป่า การค้าสัตว์ป่าถูกและผิดกฎหมาย และการพัฒนานวัตกรรมเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ เช่น การใช้ AI และโดรน เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม
| This course focuses on the study of key concepts, principles, and the importance of biodiversity. It explores threats to wildlife such as habitat destruction, hunting, and climate change. Students will learn about methods of protecting wildlife habitats across various ecosystems, including forests, wetlands, and marine environments.
The course also covers conservation strategies both in-situ (within natural habitats) and ex-situ (outside natural habitats), as well as the role of local communities in conservation areas. Modern technologies such as camera traps and GPS tracking systems for monitoring wildlife populations are also introduced. Students will examine conservation-related laws and policies, including the Wildlife Conservation and Protection Act and international agreements such as CITES.
In addition, the course involves analyzing the impacts of climate change on wildlife, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, legal and illegal wildlife trade, and the development of innovative conservation tools such as AI and drone technologies to address environmental challenges.
